Robotics & human-robot interaction

ART delivers precise position and orientation data for robots, tools, HMDs, and users — in research labs, manufacturing cells, and teleoperation scenarios. Plan your setup with the robotics profile in the configurator or talk to our team about your project.

Typical applications

Optical motion tracking supports robotics and HRI projects wherever precise 6DOF data in real time is required — whether the focus is on robots, humans, or both:

  • Human-robot interaction (HRI): Full-body and hand tracking for ergonomic analysis, collaboration studies, and safe human-robot interaction in labs
  • Teleoperation: Control mobile robots, manipulators, or drones via HMD, Flystick, or finger tracking — with low latency
  • Cobot and cell tracking: Localizing tools, grippers, or parts in robotics cells and assembly setups
  • Motion capture for robotics research: Body and tool tracking for simulation validation, digital twin, and algorithm development

For process-safe assembly at the station (camera-based position recognition on the tool), VERPOSE® is the right complement — classic DTRACK tracking covers space, robots, and interaction devices.
